Notas sobre la cultura y la pertenencia o la call-out culture, written by Raquel Salas Rivera, goes through certain memories of the writer of his grandmother, of the first call-out with which he fell in love and of the word culture to trace new paths on the belonging in tension with the colonial processes of the present in Puerto Rico. This essay, translated into Spanish for the first time in this publication, gives its place to the uniqueness of each experience, saying that it cannot be simplified with an imposed word.
