Designed by Stockholm-based TAF Studio for Muuto, the Midst is a generous, round dining table with an elegant silhouette and details. Inspired by an iconic architectural detail, the table's refined look is simple yet characteristic. The table is composed of a round-shaped tabletop and a column-like base. The round tabletop easily sits on a column-like base ensuring its stability. 

Constructed from a linoleum or FSC-certified solid oak tabletop with a matte finish and powder-coated spun steel base with a durable high-gloss finish, the unique material combination makes the table an elegant statement piece in any environment. Thanks to the pre-mounted rubber ring under the base, the table will protect your floor from being scratched. Balancing a robust construction with an elegant silhouette, the Midst Table is a versatile piece of furniture bringing a sense of warmth and vitality to its surrounding. Thanks to the strong construction, the Midst Table can be used as everything from a studio working desk to a dining table. 

TAF Studio on the design: "Midst Table is a meeting between the poetic and functional. The name refers to the centre of the table being a gravitational point, while its round shape cancels out hierarchy — there is no head of the table. Its shape naturally draws us in towards its middle, encouraging a meeting of minds and eyes. Our design process was one of subtraction and refinement. The Midst Table’s form and construction were inspired by an iconic architectural feature, the column, merging physical stability and steadfastness with a sense of elegance."
