Note: This grease gun is equipped with a self-energizing follower which requires no adjustment when using with cartridge application.
Cartridge Loading (see diagram Fig.1 & Fig.2)
- Remove head cap.
- Pull plunger rod and lock.
- Remove cap from end of cartridge and insert in barrel (metal-edged end at the top, see arrow on the cartridge).
- Replace head securely.
- Unlock plunger and slowly push into the barrel.
- Unscrew head cap about one or two turns to release air pockets.
- Retighten head.

To Expel Air Pockets from Grease
Normally, the gun will self-expel air pockets by pumping the handle 5 to 10 times. After each reload of grease:
- Take off the spout from the gun head.
- Unscrew the container tube 1-2 turns from the gun head.
- Pull the plunger rod and rotate to engage the follower, and push the plunger rod into the container tube to help expel air pockets.
- Draw back the plunger rod fully and release it quickly.
- Press the handle to check the flow of grease output.
- Repeat the above steps if necessary.
- Retighten the head firmly and re-screw the spout securely.
- Your grease gun is ready to use.
