A sister piece to Blooming Ballerina, this work captures the same poised figure mid-motion, reaching outward in a moment of grace and surrender. Where the original was grounded in reference, this piece bloomed from intuition, carrying echoes of inspiration but moving entirely in its own rhythm.

The textured tutu unfurls in layered marks and glimmers of gold, feathering into a field of midnight blue. Rice paper fragments and sculptural details shimmer across the surface, creating a play between softness and structure.

Part of my Blooming Veil collection, this painting carries forward themes of transformation, emergence and the layered identity of feminine strength.

Although powerful alone, Blooming Ballerina II can be paired with the first Blooming Ballerina to create a striking diptych - two unique expressions of movement and story, deeply connected yet independent.
