This Original design dates back to the 1950's and was originally a joint venture between Louis "How's your Stocks' Gerdis and Mr Jeeva of Gaystep Shoes. Freestyle took over the manufacturing and product design when these two grand old gentlemen( aka Shoe Dogs of the industry in Cape Town) both retired. This variant designed to acknowledge another legend of the Cape - David Kramer. Bakgat means good, excellent, fine, or marvelous. It's a term used to express high approval or satisfaction for a person, thing, or situation, similar to how "lekker" is used in South Africa.

DESCRIPTION:  Full grain premium leather uppers with a strong insole and a non-slip, durable ecologically-friendly TPR = Thermoplastic Rubber sole.

DETAILS: Fully lined and padded footbed. Sizing is usually on the large side and we recommend buying a size smaller than your normal size.

CARE: Apply Freestyle Leather Cream in Gristle Red to replace the colour in your vellies and use the Leather Cream in Natural just to keep the leather well nourished.
