Our Platypus License Plate Mounts can be easily removed, so only put it on when you need it!

With a full sized plate backing to protect your license plate from getting bent and no flimsy adjustment points, the Platypus is sturdy and up to the challenge. Going through an automated non-touchless car wash? No problem. Use the included quick release wrench to pop your plate off to avoid any interference.

Materials

The backplate is made from 12-Gauge Steel and is the exact size of a standard license plate for maximum protection. The bracket is also made from steel and is backed with a soft rubber pad to protect your grille. Both parts are powdercoated with a textured black finish. We use stainless steel hardware to protect from the elements.

Note: Some vehicles may use an alternate mounting design allowing the plate mount to secure to the front grille area. If this is important to you, please contact our team for clarification on the style you will receive. 

Removable

We can all agree that most cars look best without a front license plate at all, but if you’re driving in a state that requires the front plate, we’ve designed our Grille Mount Platypus to be easily installed in a matter of minutes. When you no longer need it, The Platypus can be removed easily, leaving no trace that it was ever there.
