This painting had a few inspirations from here in Singapore. Firstly, the forest at Bukit Timah where you can often see some local monkeys swinging in the large surrounding trees. And secondly, the main aviary at Jurong Bird Park. This aviary is one of my favourite places in Singapore, with its large waterfall and all the birds you get to see up close and personal! This painting showcases two of my favourite birds here in Singapore, the Oriental Pied Hornbill and Collared Kingfisher. This art print is created from an original Em+Co Art gouache painting.
