Sealing exposed carbon edges is recommended to prevent moisture intrusion and edge delamination. Apply edge sealant or tape along the interior seams after installation to protect the layup from water damage.

Will the carbon finish scratch easily during install?

Carbon fiber is durable but can mark during handling. Lay fenders on a clean, soft surface during mounting. Once bolted in place, the finish is hard and resistant to road debris and minor contact.
