Inspired by the story of early Vancouver Island "environmentalists" & botanical lovers, Susan & Richard Stoker. (brother of Bram Stoker of Dracula's fame) They gathered and protected many species of plants and were for the protection of the beautiful waters and forests of Lake Cowichan where they lived in the early 1900's.
