You'll need a quality exhaust gasket where the system connects to your catalytic converter. Bolts and clamps for the catback itself are standard — grab them from any hardware store if not already in your toolbox.

Will this work with a stock or aftermarket cat?

This system bolts to your existing catalytic converter. If you're running an aftermarket cat with a different flange size or connection point, test-fit before finalizing your order.

Does the stainless steel need any prep or coating before installation?

No prep required. The material ships ready to install. Stainless naturally resists rust, so you can bolt it on straight away. Over time, the tip may develop a patina — it's normal and does not indicate corrosion.
