Heart of the Sun is a handmade batik tank top featuring my signature sunburst design — with a tiny heart batiked into the center, radiating purple and white rays across a rich amber background. This color was a happy accident: what began as a golden hue deepened into a one-of-a-kind terra cotta glow with hints of fuchsia, thanks to the layering of natural dye tones.

Crafted on a 100% cotton jersey knit tank from Los Angeles Apparel, this modern wide-strap style is long (not cropped), with a high neckline and armholes that offer full bra coverage. It's slightly form-fitting but never clingy — flattering on its own or layered with your favorite hoodie or kimono.

There’s a little moon on the back shoulder, too — a hidden touch for those who notice the details.

Each piece is hand-painted with hot wax, dyed, and boiled to remove the wax — a true batik made start to finish in Oregon.
