Vintage 1940's stunning CC41 moygashal linen dress in a bright golden yellow. This is a divine example from its time and was made by ' John Swell' and bares the Utility CC41 rationing label. In the British wartime you would collect rationing stamps to be able to purchase new pieces. This has a classic 1940's British silhouette and features a beautiful scalloped overlay collar, short sleeve, button front which falls to a waist seam which then falls into an a line skirt with pleating. The dress fastens with a single hook and eye to the side seam and features a matching belt with metal eyelet and buckle. 

This piece looks beautiful paired with an array of colour pallets including brown, green, purple and cobalt blue. A great piece of British fashion history to add to any 40's wearers collection.

Good Vintage Condition, flaws to note - a couple of small nibbles and a couple of metal eyelets missing from the belt. Some light wear to the button holes which could benefit from a stitch. These flaws do not detract from the wearability of the piece. It presents beautifully is freshly laundered and ready to wear.
