Do I need to paint these before installation?

The skirts ship in raw FRP condition and require paint or clear coat before installation. Sand the surface lightly and apply your chosen color or protective clear, then allow full cure time before fitting them to your vehicle.

How much ground clearance will I lose?

JPR side skirts add minimal depth to the rocker area — roughly parallel to the OEM side trim plane. If you run aggressive suspension geometry or frequently drive steep driveways, measure the lowest point of the installed skirts against your current ride height to confirm adequate clearance.
