Antique Edwardian Long Cream Lace Skirt
A rare find in incredible condition, this skirt from the turn of the 20th century is a glorious piece of romance and finery. Ankle length and cut on a gentle A line, the outer layer is cream, embroidered, sheer lace. It covers and underskirt that is a darker cream silk with a ruffled panel at the bottom, delineated with lace trim and lace florettes.
High waisted, it closes with a hook and a row of buttons down the center of the back. The rear also features draping where two sections have been pinned to create an elegant design.
No tags.
Fit: small but please see exact measurements below to ensure fit.
Condition: Very good and wearable AS IS with two issues that can be repaired. Some of the interior silk at the rear, near the buttons has a few small tears, and there are tears of the interior part along the waistline. There is a larger tear of the interior silk layer of the skirt, at center rear. There is a very faint, small and round, light brain stain on the left side, mid thigh. Most of these imperfections are hard to spot unless pointed out, especially in direct light. See the pics towards the end for details.
