A Beautiful Vintage Longines with a Stunning Waffle Dial Boasting Gold Dauphine Hands in Fantastic Condition, c.1946

Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A., or simply Longines, is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832, the company has been a subsidiary of the Swiss Swatch Group and its predecessors since 1983.

This vintage Longines is in superb condition and wears beautifully on the wrist which is illustrated perfectly the in photographs. The waffle texture on the dial is in excellent shape and looks stunning with the applied hour plots and Dauphine hands in gold. The punch of blood red on the central seconds hand is a nice detail and we have pulled that colour out by pairing the watch with a mid-blue strap. If you want a more classic look then it is quite possible to change the strap to black or tan. The dial is encapsulated underneath acrylic crystal and encased in stainless steel. The case and lugs are also in really good shape making the overall condition superb. This is a unique piece from a revered brand and will give the wearer many years of joy to come.
