In scuba gear terms, the first stage features an air-balanced flow-through piston in a chrome-plated brass body to maintain constant airflow. The patented XTIS (Extended Thermal Insulating System) improves cold-water resistance, and anti-freeze protection enhances breathing reliability in extreme temperatures. With two opposing high-pressure ports for versatile positioning and four high-flow plus one axial super-high-flow low-pressure ports on a swivel turret for hose routing, it adapts to a variety of diving configurations.
