Description:

The 4S 40A BMS (Battery Management System) Protection Board is an advanced circuit designed to manage and protect 4-series (4S) 18650 lithium-ion or LiPo batteries. This protection board ensures the safe and efficient operation of battery packs by preventing common battery issues such as overcharging, over-discharging, overcurrent draw, and short circuits, which can damage cells and reduce their lifespan.

With support for up to 40A of continuous discharge current, this BMS is suitable for medium- to high-drain applications including e-bikes, hoverboards, power tools, electric scooters, solar energy storage systems, and custom DIY battery projects. The module is capable of managing both charging and discharging cycles effectively and provides automatic recovery once abnormal conditions are resolved.

This 4S BMS is equipped with passive balancing circuitry that activates when cell voltages reach near full charge (around 4.2V).
