Striking deep crown feathered cloche from the 1960's. Narrow taupe velvet brim peeps out from under an large array of long brown feathers. Front holds a small yellow velvet bow. Interior is finished with a taupe wool and matching petersham ribbon.

Label is Sidneys which was a popular women's clothing chain, started in 1922 in Roanoke, Va., closing in 1993. Also attached is the original price tag of $27.00.

As for the condition, the feathers are starting to show age. I believe at some point there was a center anchor which has since disappeared. You can see the glue spots in the center. It is a beautiful hat for someone who is crafty.

Inner circumference is 21 1/2 inches. Measuring on the outside, side to side is 19 inches.
