Handmade Real Horse Hair False Tails

You’ll love our handmade, quality real horse hair tails.

Tails come in a range of sizes and thicknesses. Some may be in stock and ready to post, however stock, colour, size and pricing must be checked before ordering. Custom-made tails can take approximately 2–6 weeks, and sometimes around 6 weeks.

If you need a tail by a certain due date, please contact me first so I can check availability or arrange to have one made in time.

We can also outsource tails, so please contact me with:

• Your required time frame
• Colour and size needed
• Photos of your horse’s tail for colour matching
• The length and thickness you are after

Thickness Guide

Mini, Shetland or foal tail fillers available.

Single – 170g approx
For horses or ponies with a nice tail that just need a little extra fullness.

Double – 340g approx
For horses or ponies needing extra volume for a fuller show-ring look.

Triple – 510g approx
For horses or ponies lacking tail thickness, or for those wanting a very full tail.

Quad – 680g approx, POA
Western-style thickness.

Measuring and Colour Matching

Uncut tails are measured from the top of the loop to the longest point. Please note these are uncut tails, so they may have shorter and longer strands of hair.

If you are unsure of length, I recommend choosing a longer tail, such as 110cm, so it can be trimmed to suit.

Photos are required for mixed colour matching. If you are unsure what you need, please send as many clear photos as possible or contact me before ordering.

Important Notes

If the tail arrives and is too thin, too thick, too short, too long or not quite the right colour, please contact me straight away. It may need to be returned with:

• A note explaining the changes needed
• A sample of your horse’s tail for matching
• Your name and postal address

Postal charges apply. Any refund or price difference will depend on the replacement tail required.

Tails that have been used or cut may not be able to be changed, and this will be at the discretion of the manufacturer.

Weights are an approximate guide only. If you require a specific length or weight, please let me know before ordering, as different manufacturers may vary slightly.
