WOW's FreeSpace Girth bridges pressure away from your horse's Pectoral muscles and Rectus Abdominus muscles, allowing your horse to finally engage, lift his thoracic sling, and move with the forward, free, maximum stride length he was born with. Finally - an anatomical girth that's actually designed to be anatomically-friendly for your horse!

WOW's new, innovative, patented design features an Active Cushion Sternum Plate that has two parts:

The outer part is a reinforced plate that will not give under girth tension. This is spaced away from the horse by the inner part, the Active Cushion. The Active Cushion holds the Sternum Plate away from the horse’s rib cage. The Sternum Plate makes the girth straps bridge the pectoral muscles and it is this lack of pressure that is the key to allowing the horse to engage by the use of a now unimpeded Rectus Abdominus and achieve better leg retraction due to the Ascending Pectoral muscles not being squashed!

The girth is made from synthetic vegan leather. The reason we recommend and use synthetic leather is because of its’ superior qualities of ease of cleaning and looking great after years of use.

The Sternum Plate comes in two widths - Standard (7.25" wide) and Slim (4.5" wide). The Sternum Plate should be as close to the same width as your horse's sternum as possible. Determine the width of sternum plate necessary by measuring the space between your horse's front legs from point of elbow to point of elbow.

If you require your girth have straps of unequal lengths, you may purchase each part of this girth individually to build your own FreeSpace Girth.

The FreeSpace Girth comes in four styles - Dressage, Long, Stud, and Western. The Long style is designed with girth sleeves to prevent pinching of the skin between the girth straps.

As with all things designed and manufactured by WOW, every single piece and part of the FreeSpace Girth is modular, and can be changed or replaced very easily by you.
