A black wool and aralac blend brimmed hat from the 40's. Aralac, a fiber derived from milk, was developed in the 40's when wool was scarce during WWII. It's use was discontinued after the war. This hat has a jaunty plume of Emu feathers on the side and a band of the same fabric as the hat. The label is "Betmar". The hat measures 21" around the inside band, the brim is 1 1/4" and the crown is 4". Excellent condition. Catalog # 6292
