The Jaimie Pajama Pants class is designed for sewists wanting to tackle their first garment sewing project!

During the class, our instructor will use the Jaimie Pajama Pants pattern from British sewing pattern company Tilly and the Buttons to guide you in making your pajama pants! For the class, we'll be making the version without a drawstring, and the class includes the option of sewing either shorts or pants! They are tested by the Spool of Thread team and certified 100% cozy!

Students in this class will learn our tips and tricks for working with commercial patterns including finding the right size, sewing waistbands, hemming and working with elastic. Once complete, students will head home with their super fun pajama shorts or pants, and the Jaimie pattern which includes lots of inspiration for your next project!

This class will work from the Tilly and the Buttons Jaimie pattern and sew the version without buttonholes or a drawstring.

Time: 6 hours, 1 or 2 sessions

Skill Level: Beginner

Prerequisites: 101 Sewing Machine Tote Bag or Throw Pillow or equivalent experience (ie. be familiar and comfortable using a sewing machine with recent experience)

• sewing an elastic waistband
• hemming pants

Pattern Details: The Tilly and the Buttons Jaimie pattern includes waist sizes from 22" to 53". If you are outside these waist measurements, please let us know when you join the class so we can ensure the pattern and fabric requirements are appropriate for your project.
