Vintage 60's rectangular powder puff compact with mirror, in gold metal with a two tone abstract image in a semi-starburst pattern with touches of floral. It includes the original puff, a hinged inner lid, and comes in the original blue felt sleeve and cardboard box. It has "Compacts by Dexter" embossed on the inside. The box has what looks like "Detroit" written on it in blue ball point pen.
COLOR: Gold. Blue Felt Sleeve.
MATERIAL: Metal, cloth, glass, cardboard.
MEASUREMENTS:
2 3/4 x 2 3/8 in. (7 x 6 cm)
Depth: 3/8 in. (1 cm)
WEIGHT: 110 g.
CONDITION: The interior is very clean, and doesn't look like it ever held powder. The mirror has a tiny dark dot on the bottom right corner. Hinges and clasps all in working order. No dents or chips.
There is some scuffing on the base near the hinges, and very light scuffing in a couple of places on the lid.
The box is slightly yellowed and has some evidence of stickering, and has the word "Detroit" written on it in blue ball point pen. Otherwise, it's still quite sturdy and in good condition.
