When I first started TVBC, I bought any and everything that was vintage because I was new and wanted to build my inventory. NOW, I have pllllllenty of inventory and I only buy things that I myself would wear or that I have a connection with.

Yes, sometimes I leave perfectly good vintage on the hanger at the thrift store/estate sale bc it doesn't speak to me. I seriously am not going to buy another black vintage dress unless it is SPECTACULAR. I just don't have the time to prep, photograph, write up a diddy and then wrap up the sold item if I don't love it.

I love this dress. I'm a huge fan of asymmetrical hemlines, I'm drawn to bright colors, I like unique designs and this has all those things.

Did I know who Ron Fritts was when I bought it? No. I'm not a name gal. I'm a well-made, well-designed, ooh, I feel you in my gut gal.

So who is Ron Fritts? Ron Fritts is an designer of stuff that hangs on walls and also hangs on bodies. While living in NYC, he was the owner and manager of several shops and galleries and also served as an assistant professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology for over 35 years (that's pretty cool!) I've found a few of his gallery items (and phew are they expensive!) but very few of his clothing designs.

It's a slip-over-the-head dress--no step in and then zip or button it up, so even though the measurements look large, the dress is actually better suited for a smaller figure. It fit me and my measurements are: 34, 27, 37.

So this dress is going to speak to a very specific buyer. Someone who wants to stand out, someone who appreciates a good 80's does 20's flapper silhouette, someone who appreciates a good matching of patterns and colors.
