This remarkable piece is a vintage beaded hide saddlebag, boasting time-worn leather hand-beaded with red, white, and blue embellishments. The bag is stamped "U.S." in reverse along one of the flaps – likely because the front stamp is covered by beading – possibly indicating government issue for United States cavalry. An unbelievably rare find.
