Should I seal the edge seams where the two pieces meet?

Edge sealing is optional but recommended if you're in a high-moisture climate. A thin bead of clear sealant along the seams where the left and right panels meet will prevent water intrusion into the weave. Use a flexible sealant that won't crack as the panels expand and contract with temperature.
