This marled sky blue, sweater-knit hotpants or shorts and tunic top set dates from the early 1970s. The hip-length top has a high neck and short sleeves. Ribbed trim finishes the neck, sleeves and hem. The tunic has 2 belt loops knit into the design at the low waist area in front—perfect for a 1960s chain belt, or a medium-width, regular belt as shown (belt not included). A plastic zipper fastens the back of the neck. The pull-on style shorts or “hot pants” have an elastic waist and ribbed trim at the leg openings. Both pieces are made of a soft, mid-weight acrylic, like a lightweight sweater. Both are unlined. In near excellent condition, this fab 70s 2-piece set has 2 very tiny, light marks on the right belt loop (see close-up photo).
