There is something so sweet & innocent about this vintage 30's dress. It is made of a silk lining in Ivory and a sheer, lightweight silk fabric in an Ivory color w/warm, pinkish hues. The upper bodice has sheer shoulder yokes & gathered (ruched), dramatic sleeves. This ruching is echoed along the bust line, & little box pleats line the top. The waistline features 3 bands of ribbon, beneath a tatted, open circular lace detail. The side seams have self-fabric waist ties & left side seam features metal snaps and hook+eye closures. The full length skirt is bias-cut and dreamily swishy. No labels or makers marks are present, it may have been home or boutique-made. The overall condition is very good, wearable, with some repairs and flaws; 1 repair ro upper back right neck, repairs to small-to-medium sized tears in outer silk fabric throughout (please see pics for examples, I would estimate there are overall perhaps 16 small repairs, most are not noticeable and I have included pictures of the medium-sized repairs). The outer silk fabric shrunk during the cleaning process and may be up to 2" shorter than the lining (I left this as-is, considering that the wearer may need the gown hemmed anyway).
