Our Manayunk shirt is among our washed button-down collection, and is cut from a blue and black check pattern, on a twill cotton fabric. The collar is the perfect height for a button-down - not too tall and floppy, and not too fashion-forward small. It’s gone through a special wash that leaves the garment feeling soft and comfortable. The cuffs are rounded and convertible, there are side gussets, and a single breast pocket.

Fabric

Egyptian cotton is a particular variety that is grown in only a few other places. It is renowned as some of the best in the world. It has an extra long staple, which means it has longer fibers, resulting in a silkier, more durable fabric. Twill fabrics have a weft thread that runs over and under multiple warp threads (as opposed to a plain weave where the weft crosses a single warp thread at a time). This can create interesting patterns like a herringbone, houndstooth or a simple, diagonal rib. Twills are very durable fabrics that have a softer hand feel than poplins and a bit more sheen.
