Is the hood heavier or lighter than my stock hood?

What finish does this come in, and do I need to clear coat it?

The hood comes in raw carbon fiber weave. Clear coat is highly recommended to protect the carbon from UV exposure and maintain the finish long-term. Sand and prep the surface before applying your chosen clear coat system.
