Do I need gap filler or trim tape between the panels and my existing body?

That depends on how tightly your panels fit during dry-fit. Check alignment with the door gaps and existing trim before paint. If gaps are uneven, you may want flexible trim tape or sealant along the seams—this is standard practice with any bolt-on body kit and helps with weatherproofing.

How many pieces actually come in the kit?

Four pieces: front fascia, two side skirts (driver and passenger), and one rear bumper cover. The side skirts are separate pieces so you can remove either one for service access or repair without disturbing the other.
