This is a pair of 1910's underwear from the Edwardian period. They are made of a finely woven ivory cotton and edged with crocheted trim. The waist has no button or hook for closure and was meant to be pinned. You can insert a cord to make a drawstring if you wish. The pants look like a skirt in front and shorts in back. The crotch is sewn closed. They are meant to be fully fashioned for ease in movement and comfort. The condition is very good, with some minor age-related flaws. There are two light brown, small stains on the top - one on the waistband and the other just under it. There is another small. light stain on the back near the bottom of the opening. There is a very small tear in the fabric in front where the crotch is sewn to the skirt.
