Double the pleasure, double the fun! This is true at least since the release of the quilted vest sewing pattern The Emily Vest, with which you can sew yourself an easy vest. The quilted vest sewing pattern is the perfect choice for all sewing enthusiasts looking for a versatile project.

Because with this cute reversible vest pattern, you can sew two vests at the same time! The short sleeveless gilet sewing pattern makes your outfit complete and keeps you nice and warm on cooler summer nights.

Have you always been interested in a quilt pattern? With the new DIY vest pattern, you decide whether you want to quilt fabric yourself or use a pre-quilted fabric.

We explain both in the step-by-step sewing instructions.The quilted reversible vest is finished all around with bias binding. It has matching double welt pockets at the front. You should therefore already have some sewing experience.

If you are a sewing beginner, you can skip the pockets, making sewing the womens vest sewing pattern much easier.

Required materials

• two different fabrics with a width of 1.40m (1 1/2yd) each: XS-L: 55cm (3/5 yd), XL-XXXL: 70cm (3/4 yd)

• batting, e.g., Vlieseline H630 with a width of 90cm (1yd): XS-L: 1.50m (1 2/3yd), XL-XXXL: 2m (2 1/5yd)

• bias binding: XS-L: 3.40m (3 3/4yd), XL-XXXL: 3.80m (4 1/5yd)

• 2mm (1/16in) wide elastic cord: XS-XXXL: 60cm (2/3yd)

• sewing thread

• sewing machine with sewing needle matching your fabric weight

• Tip 1:We use an organic cotton poplin made from 100% cotton with a weight of 120g/sqm for The Emily Vest pattern.

• Tip 2:When cutting bias binding from your fabric yourself, you will need an additional fabric amount of 60cm (2/3yd) for one of your fabrics.

• Tip 3: When using a pre-quilted fabric you will need no batting. Skip the quilting steps. The sewing steps will be the same. Skip the quilting steps. The sewing steps will be the same.

Size chart

Find the perfect size for you simply by using our size chart. Measure your chest, waist and hip circumference and check the chart to see which size most closely matches your own measurements. The Emily Vest has a positive ease of 8cm (3 in) around the bust.

For reference, our model Naomi is 170cm (5′ 7″) tall and wears size S.
