Based on a 1970s U.S. Army Type E1 radio carrier vest but given a minimalistic twist to create a sleek vest that carries a more waistcoat-like appearance. The BM1-11 features A/A/F's signature tape buttons inspired by vintage rescue vests at the centre front, two large patch pockets and a tape closure with metal snap buttons which can be closed at the front or tied at the back for a more waisted silhouette. Made of Ventile, a cotton fabric originally designed for air force pilots during WWII: it has exceptional water repellent properties and is designed to last a lifetime. The BM1-11 Carrier Vest is made by hand in very limited quantities at the A/A/F studio in Amsterdam, using deadstock Ventile twill left over from previous productions. Limited pieces available.
