Rather fancy later 1940s dress from upmarket NY department store Henri Bendel. Selling as found but wearable as it comes; clearing rail of things that have been hanging around for me to deal with! 

Side metal zipper, full length sleeves with metal zips to cuffs. Shoulder pads, fitted waist. 

Blingy faux pearl and robe stone medallion trim to the sleeves. Belt loops but, I have added a makeshift velvet one with ‘pearl’ buckle for you which I will include - but any black rayon crepe would do. 

Measures: 

Bust 38” (36 plus darts)

Waist 28”

Hips 40” max, better for 38”

Length from shoulder to hem approx 42”

underarm to cuff 18.5”

Condition: 

-Fade under collar, a little iron shine. Previous fade to shoulder has been restored with fabric dye so not obvious. 

- A stitched seam repair at waist has caught left seam a bit off centre, hidden by belt if worn

- a little iron shine/line to left bosom?

- two places where medallions have missing bits. I’d meant to remove outer circle of one with missing bits to repair the other. 

- painted zipper has paint loss at cuffs, not really seen
