The Omega Seamaster, introduced in 1948, is a cornerstone of luxury diving watches. Initially designed to commemorate Omega's centenary and aimed at active individuals and military personnel, the Seamaster quickly gained acclaim for its robust build and reliability. Early models featured an innovative O-ring gasket that enhanced water resistance, setting a new standard in watchmaking.

For those who appreciate the natural ageing process of watches and the 'tropical' dial, this vintage Omega Seamaster should be a thing of joy! Whilst to the untrained eye it may look rather weathered, it is a thing of beauty! 

The once black dial, has aged to a beautiful chocolate colour and will continue to do so over the coming years. An Explorer-style dial with quarter Arabic numerals, the rest of the hour markers are beautiful arrowheads, all are gold capped. The stylish Dauphine hands, applied Omega emblem and Seamaster signature complete a beautiful vintage dial - not forgetting the shot of blood red on the needle second hand! 

The dial is encapsulated underneath a Plexiglas crystal and encased in stainless steel. You will note that the Hippocampus Seamaster emblem is absent from the case back, this watch was produced before that came into play in 1957. Every watch has a tale to tell and this watch is a one off, you will never see another that had aged exactly the same way - the joy of vintage watches! We love it!
