VINTAGE 80s SILK JACQUARD COCKTAIL TEA DRESS

Very special, unusual vintage 80s dress made of exquisite high quality silk charmeuse with a floral jacquard pattern in tawny-blush (the color is a little lighter in person than pics show). The dress has a surplice bodice with a wide fitted waistband and a billowy swagged skirt. Featuring deep V-neck, huge voluminous puffed half sleeves, and rear zipper closure. The skirt is partially lined in muslin with the lower skirt lined in organza (probably meant to be starched for volume). The sleeves are lined in 2 layers of organza for volume, and have gathered cuffs. There are light shoulder pads high on the shoulders as well as stiff ruffled inserts for the puff at the shoulder/sleeve seam. Label info: Designer-quality piece, however no maker’s label found. CONDITION & CARE:

Very good condition. No flaws found. There is an alteration to the front - 3 stitches that are holding the lower bodice closed, probably in the interest of modesty - see last pic for closeup. These stitches can easily be removed if so desired. Dry clean only.
