Cut from a soft blue 100% Egyptian cotton 2-ply twill and with a classic point collar, the Aldrin is a great basic blue shirt. Our Aldrin shirt is a member of a series of dress shirts that are designed to hearken back to the time of the Space Race and the era of the iconic American worker. The shirts come with our new American point collar and feature our signature convertible cuffs and gussets.

Fabric

Egyptian cotton is a particular variety that is grown in only a few other places. It is renowned as some of the best in the world. It has an extra long staple, which means it has longer fibers, resulting in a silkier, more durable fabric.Twill fabrics have a weft thread that runs over and under multiple warp threads (as opposed to a plain weave where the weft crosses a single warp thread at a time). This can create interesting patterns like a herringbone, houndstooth or a simple, diagonal rib. Twills are very durable fabrics that have a softer hand feel than poplins and a bit more sheen.
