This piece is from my personal collection/wardrobe, and was purchased circa 2002-2004. This is notable, because the quality of craftsmanship of H&M items has waned since, as they have embraced the ideals of fast-fashion. Having a background in sewing and construction, I gravitated towards their better-made (but slightly higher price point) pieces and this is one of my favorite pieces ever purchased via H&M -alas, it no longer fits! My loss is your gain.

This jacket is very much styled to have a nod to Menswear, but with slightly feminine details and fit. I do love a peaked lapel, which is probably my favorite aspect of this jacket (along with the hidden welt pockets). It is cut to fit curves, with flat-fell princess seams, and double darted inner elbows. The center front features a two-button closure. This is a wonderful year-round piece, as it is made of 100% cotton, medium to heavy weight brocade (think tapestry) style fabric in grey tones, featuring a scrolling flora, wallpaper-like pattern. It is also unlined, and without any insulation. The overall condition is excellent, very gently worn with little to no signs of wear and no flaws to note! Please review photographs for full details.
