A Beautiful Vintage Longines Dress Watch with Gold Applied Dial Furniture and Dauphine Hands, Dated to 1963.

Longines was founded by Auguste Agassiz and two other partners in Saint-Imier, Switzerland in 1832. Throughout its history, Longines has pioneered many advancements in watchmaking. In 1878 the company produced its first chronograph movement, the 20H. The movement was perfect for precise timing and the accuracy of their timepieces is something Longines prides itself on to this day. The Longines name and brand logo are currently the oldest still in use trademarks, unchanged since 1889.

Both vintage and modern Longines dress watches are always very tasteful and chic and this example is no exception. A stunning silver sunburst dial is furnished with opulent applied gold baton hour markers and stylish gold Dauphine hands. The cross-hair small seconds at 6 o'clock keeps the dial design minimal. The Longines signature is underwritten with an applied Longines emblem. The dial is beautifully executed and, although in certain light you can see an odd mark, it is still in excellent preowned condition as is the case. We have paired the watch with a beautiful handmade 'Zeewolf' strap which really sets off the gold on the dial and adds some luxurious warmth. A really stunning yet subtle dress watch with a timeless design, which will simply never go out of style.
