The Garmin tactix 8 is a tactical smartwatch with a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, titanium bezel and sapphire lens engineered for rugged outdoor use and precise on-wrist data. It pairs multi-band GPS with SatIQ positioning, a 3-axis compass, barometric altimeter and gyroscope to deliver reliable navigation and location accuracy. The watch includes an internal speaker and microphone for voice messaging, onboard music storage and smart notifications when paired with a compatible smartphone.

Durability features include a 40-meter dive rating (approx. 131 ft), MIL-grade thermal and shock resistance and a built-in multicolor LED flashlight with NVG-compatible settings. Battery life can reach up to 16 days in smartwatch mode with configurable power-management profiles.
