Antique silk brocade and leather, envelope style, clutch purse. Arts and crafts style, dating from the late 1800s/early 1900s with flowers, birds and suns. The brocade is dark brown with bronze designs. The leather is also brown with bronze colored whip stitching around the edges. The interior is green with a main compartment, large pocket, small pocket and another envelope style compartment. You can see on the interior that the stitching used to be a gold color with metallic thread running through it ( see last photo ). There is some wear to the leather and the clasp is a bit thread bare. The leather is a bit dry and the purse has a faint musty smell. There’s basic all over wear due to age and use and priced accordingly. Sold as is.
