EDITOR'S NOTE

Robert Welch Trattoria Bright 42-Piece Flatware Set has a traditional appearance inspired by European bistro dining. It is a redesign of a wooden-handled range of cutlery called Bistro, originally designed by Robert Welch in the early 1960s. 

The pattern evolved from a desire for less formal styling, suitable for increasingly casual meal settings. At the time it was described as 'attractively rustic' with its riveted rosewood handles. This modern variant of the much-loved 1960s classic instead uses molded dishwasher-safe handles with a satin finish to give a warm and engaging tactility.
