Add some elegant military flair to your wardrobe with this inspired de la Renta set...

This prim little skirt and jacket suit set comes in a medium weight, deep burgundy or oxblood red wool weave with super subtle self-stripe pattern (look closely). The skirt has a basic silhouette and structure, with one inch width waistband and very small inverted pleats, giving a slight flair. Skirt is lightly lined with a matching woven acetate fabric, and has a side nylon zipper and hook + eye closure, but no pockets. The jacket gets to have all the fun with its straight, but cropped cut, velvet stand-up collar and special, military-esque features; a rounded braided trim runs along all edges, including upturned cuffs and braided flat cord frogs make up the fancy buttons and loop closures (also echoed at cuffs). Overall the kind of design and craftsmanship expected from a designer like de la Renta. Overall condition is near mint to very good, with two tiny repaired holes at back jacket (one at upper left shoulder, one at upper left sleeve) and no other flaws to note! Please review all the photographs for full details. Labels read 'Oscar de la Renta', 'size 6' and 'Bergdorf Goodman, On the Plaza, New York'.

Please note: this set (as well as a few other pieces in the shop) were used as wardrobe on various soap operas including As The World Turns and Guiding Light (specifically worn by character Bridget). While I'm not sure exactly which soap, or when, the labels are marked with special inventory codes that signify this.
