ABOUT: Millefiori is an Italian term meaning "a thousand flowers." The technique originated in Egypt but was perfected in Italy. The Italians gave it its name, and it has been used for centuries. Today, artists in Murano still use the technique to create exquisite souvenirs, chandeliers, and figurines, making it one of the most sought-after techniques in Murano's glass-making industry.
