Our stiff, full-length XLT Carbon Fiber Spring Plate Graphite Insole relieves forefoot, midfoot, and arch pain. The unique rocker sole and toe spring of the Carbon Fiber Spring Plate Graphite Insert provides a small toe spring, enabling roll-off at the forefoot. Sold individually right or left, not as a pair.
Dimensions: Medium width only. 1/16" thick. See individual sizes for length, and the Measurements tab for detailed dimensions.
Sizing: We strongly suggest that you use length rather than shoe size as the determining factor in deciding which size plate to purchase. The best method is to take an insole out of a shoe you wear regularly and measure it from the back of the heel to the tip of the toe. Choose a plate that is slightly shorter than your insert so that it can be placed underneath the insole of your shoe. If you wear a half-size we recommend the smaller size Spring Plate.
XLT Carbon Fiber Spring Plate - Graphite Insoles are NOT heat moldable.
Because the XLT Carbon Fiber Spring Plate - Graphite Insole is very rigid, does not have a soft top cover, and is one of our thinnest insoles, we suggest wearing it beneath soft insoles - either your shoes' existing insoles or over-the-counter orthotic insoles such as Pedag SOFT Shoe Insoles or Pedag Magic Step Insoles. Wear for short periods of time until all-day use becomes comfortable.
It is important to wear your plate in a shoe that does not have a very flexible sole, as the lack of rigidity will put stress on your plate when you flex your foot, which could cause the plate to weaken and crack.
Indications: The primary benefit of the XLT Carbon Fiber Spring Plate - Graphite Insole is its rigidity and toe spring. Carbon Fiber Spring Plate - Graphite Insoles act as a shank and are used to stiffen the midfoot, or shank of the shoe. Carbon Fiber Spring Plate - Graphite Insoles are used to treat forefoot pain, forefoot capsulitis, forefoot bursitis, metatarsalgia, hallux limitus, hallux rigidus, forefoot callus, Morton's neuroma, Freiberg's infraction, arch pain, metatarsal fractures, cuboid syndrome, and arthritis of the forefoot and midfoot, sesamoiditis and sesamoid fractures.
Foot Care Tip! What are the differences among the carbon/graphite fiber inserts sold at Myfootshop.com?
1stRaythotics™ - Carbon Fiber Morton's Extension Bilateral – These turf toe plates are rigid and very thin, and are sold as a pair. We also carry pairs of 1stRaythotics that have the great toe extension only under the right or left big toe:
Disclaimer: Shoe designs (called the shoe last) vary so much that trying to match insoles and shoes is never a precise science. Placing a rigid insert (Spring Plate, Molded Turf Toe Plate, Flat Turf Toe Plate, Flat Glass Fiber Plate) into your shoe may cause wear. The rigidity of these carbon fiber inserts may damage the softer cloth shoe last. Myfootshop.com is not responsible for any damage to your shoes that may be caused by the use of these products.
Return Policy: Defective Insoles & Arch Supports may be returned for replacement or credit up to 6 months from the date of purchase. Here's a link to our return policies and procedures.
