Mahjong 102 – Strategy & Line Picking Lessons

Already learned the basics of Mahjong and ready to level up your game? Mahjong 102 at The Boutique in Downtown Mesa is designed for players who understand the tiles and gameplay but want to feel more confident making strategic decisions during a real game.

This class focuses on one of the biggest challenges for newer players: how to choose a line on the Mahjong card, pivot your hand when needed, and build a stronger game strategy without feeling overwhelmed.

Whether you joined us for Mahjong 101 or already know the basics, Mahjong 102 helps bridge the gap between simply “playing” and actually understanding the game.

We’ll practice reading the card, identifying strong hands, recognizing patterns, learning defensive strategy, and understanding how to make smarter tile decisions throughout gameplay. This class is interactive, social, and perfect for players wanting more confidence before joining open play or regular Mahjong groups. We WILL play a handful of games, but you will have a guide to help.

PLUS — Solo Practice Boards will be available for preorder so you can continue practicing your strategy and line picking skills at home between games!
