Do these lights work plug-and-play, or do I need to wire them?

These are hard-wired LED units. You'll need to disconnect your factory housings and connect the wiring harness to your vehicle's rear light circuit. Basic electrical knowledge or a shop visit makes this straightforward.

Will these lights pass inspection?

LED tail lights must meet DOT / FMVSS 108 standards for street use. Confirm with your local DMV or inspection facility before install, as regulations vary by state. These are designed for enthusiast use; street legality is your responsibility.

What if one of the LED strips fails after I install them?

LED assemblies are not user-serviceable — if a light fails, the entire housing needs replacement. Since these ship brand new from our warehouse, test both units before final install to catch any dead-on-arrival issues.
