Really a very sharp number! Label reads  ‘The Phyliss Look’, by Phyliss Sportswear Inc. 

It looks to be an early type of manmade material - at a distance I thought it was hopsack, but close up it’s more like crimplene (although I’d say it just predates it!)

The cross hatch design is studded with metal fixings. Fastens to the rear with a metal zipper, it’s a true shift shape. I am sure it’s a copy of something I recognise, not Mondrian but another..  but brain won’t remember name.. anyway, it’s very cool!
