A glamorous Jaeger LeCoultre 14k white gold square-case watch with diamond-dot markers and textured dial surround.
Founded in 1833 in Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux by Antoine LeCoultre, LeCoultre quickly became renowned for precision engineering and innovation, including the invention of the Millionomètre in 1844. Throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the company supplied high-grade movements to many prestigious watchmakers. In certain markets, particularly North America, watches were branded simply “LeCoultre,” often in partnership with U.S. distributor Longines-Wittnauer, before the full adoption of the Jaeger-LeCoultre name in later decades.
What's on Offer
We are pleased to offer this distinctive LeCoultre dress watch, housed in a striking 14k white gold square case that frames the dial beautifully. The silver-tone dial features a circular brushed finish at its centre, surrounded by a textured, shimmering chapter that gives the watch real visual depth. Each hour is marked by a small diamond set in white gold, with onyx faceted batons at the quarters for added contrast.
Slim pencil hands and a recessed small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock keep the design elegant and well-balanced. The case measures 26.5mm across and 35mm lug-to-lug, wearing slim and comfortably on the wrist.
There are two small imperfections to the edge of the inner dial, visible only on close inspection, which do not detract from the watch’s overall charm. Powered by the manual-wind Calibre K4080/CW — a 17-jewel movement marked “VXN” for the U.S. import market — and fitted with a taupe leather strap, this piece offers understated luxury with a touch of sparkle, making it a charming choice for the vintage dress watch collector.
NB: This watch is offered for sale as seen, as the watches service history is unknown and we are selling it on behalf of a watch collector's family who have asked us to help sell an entire collection. As there are quite a few watches to dispose of, the clients do not wish to spend unnecessary money on servicing each watch before its sold so we have priced the watches to reflect it being sold un-serviced and without a warranty but it can be arranged with our watchmaker at an additional cost if you wish. Once you have made the purchase please add a note when placing it in your basket and we will contact you to discuss this. Once serviced the watch will be given a 12-month warranty.
